Definitions of Date Columns in Shipment Reports in TRAX

Our Trip Plans = Origin + Destination + Route. Our system creates them based on the first O+D+R that finished a trip (if it doesn’t have big date gaps or BAD).

  1. Scheduled ETA is taken from our Trip Plan. The Scheduled ETA date starts with the REL Date.
  2. Current ETA is based on our Trip Plan, but it updates with each new CLM.
  3. Confirmed Delivery Date or Original ETA   is the ETA that came with the Waybill. If the Waybill doesn’t have it, we use the Scheduled ETA + 2 days.
  4. RR ETA is sent by the Railroads to the ShipX CLMs and is the estimate date of PLA. Sometimes, this will be blank in the CLMs.
  5. RR ETI is sent by the Railroads to the ShipX CLMs and is the estimate date of Interchange. Sometimes, this will be blank in the CLMs.
  6. Ship Date is the Date of the REL or PUL that started the trip. It is important to understand that Ship Date is not the Date of the last REL in the CLM listings. You can view the REL or PUL Date that started the trip in question using the Events tab.

  7. Current Event Date is the Date and Time of the last Event posted. Please remember that this Event is not necessary the last CLM ShipX received. The system won’t post (in Events) multiple Events with the same Event Code and Event Location. Compare Tabs: Events vs CLMs. Also, the PLA CLM only posts if it matches the L/E status of the trip in the report.

  8. Dwell is the amount of days that the car hasn’t move since the last Event date.
  9. PLA Date is used if this trip was Placed.
  10. PLC Date is used if this trip was PLC. Please remember that sometimes ShipX receives other events after the PLC. Customers use PLC dates for Demurrage.
  11. Current Transit Time is the time in hours from Ship Date to last Event. It is blank if the trip is PLA. You use it to calculate Routes.
  12. Days in Transit  are the days from Ship Date to last Event.
  13. Delete Date This is in case you’re searching in Deleted trips.

CLM Different Dates:

  1. Event Date & Time. This is the date that will post in Events for the trip in question. The Event Date & Time doesn’t match the System Date. Remember that sometimes ShipX creates CLMs that could have an old Event Date. Another example is when the RRs send ShipX a Release Correction that could show a posting date of the time of the REL, but they send it a few days after.
  2. System Date Time is the Date with Time and Seconds when we received the CLM.
  3. CLM Header Date Is the Date when the CLM was sent to ShipX.
